Time for Jesus

John 3:30 kjv
30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

2024 is coming to an end and 2025 is upon us. This year has been one for the record books. We have witnessed God's Word come to life this year and there doesn't seem to be any inclination it is going to slow down. What does this mean for us? What is our response to the times we are living in. Every Child of God understands what is happening in the world and we are not taken by surprise of it. The age of grace we are currently in is quickly coming to a close. We need to prepare ourselves and take a sense of urgency for those that we know and love so that they are prepared also.

How do we prepare ourselves? The verse I shared with you is the key to our preparedness. Christ must become priority number one and we must get on board with God's plan. The reality is whether we are on board or not God's plan will happen with us or without us. The only way for us to be prepared is to take the back seat as the scripture instructs us to do. if our hearts desire is a closer relationship with our Savior then this is not hard for us. When we let God be God and we get out of the way then God takes care of the details. So as the new year comes at us hard and fast, here are some things to put into practice;

1. Prayer has to become a necessity for us. Ever time we spend time with the Lord it has a profound effect on us and our lives. It allows the Holy Spirit to have access to us and to bless us accordingly.
2. Study the scriptures. So much is happening so fast. If you are in the Word and you realize these things we told to us that they were going to happen it will encourage us not discourage us. The more we are in the Word of God the greater our faith will be.
3. Put on the Armor of God daily. We have to have a daily hunger for righteousness. When we prepare ourselves daily then we can withstand the evil in the world and not be overtaken by it. Putting on the Armor allows us to advance and not backslide.
4. Support one another. Being a part of a church/faith community is so important. We need the love and nurture of others in these difficult times. We also need to love and nurture others. 
5. Go tell it on the mountain. We have to become bold in our witness for the Lord. people need to know. We do not want anyone to slip into eternity without knowing Jesus.
