God Keeps Promises

Isaiah 7:14    New Living Translation
14 All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’).
The Advent season is upon us, and it brings with it so many wonderful experiences every year. Advent is a time of preparation & expectation. This the time we prepare ourselves for the celebration & remembrance of the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ. God promised a Messiah and God Kept His promise. The birth of the Son of God was a miracle of miracles when the virgin Mary brought forth the promised child. Jesus brought mercy & grace into a very desperate world. When Jesus gave His life on Mount Calvary (as prophesied) He gave humanity the greatest gift of all (an answer for the sin that plagues us all). On Resurrection Sunday Jesus rose from the grave and gave humanity hope, peace, joy, & love. When Christ ascended, He made another promise. Jesus promised He would return and redeem this world and gather all of us who has chosen to accept Him as our Lord and Saviour. So, Advent is also a time of great expectations as we look forward to this glorious time of the second coming of Christ.
When God makes promises He is faithful and will keep His promises. He has gone above and beyond to prove to us that He is sincere and truly loves us with a love we could never comprehend.  God wants to bless us and provide us. Jesus promised He would never abandon us or forsake us. The key for us is to trust in God and have faith in Him. The truth is in our humanity we struggle with faith. We have doubts and fears and that causes us to miss out on blessings. We are also selfish to a point as to expect things on our terms and our times. We have to trust God that He knows what is best and when is the best time.
My prayer is that we all realize the reality of God's promises. This Advent season put God back as a priority in your life. Allow Him to love you, strengthen you, provide for you, and protect you. Please remember that all good things come from the Heavenly Father above!
Heavenly Father I pray for everyone that is reading this letter. I pray blessings over them as they open their hearts to you and as they prepare themselves to walk a journey of faith with you. Give us all faith to trust in you and to receive the promises you have made to us. May this Advent season be a season of Joy, Love, Peace, & Hope. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!
