Wauhatchie Methodist Church is a place where people can meet Jesus and experience the fullness of His love. The cross is where freedom is received and healing can begin. Quick Church History - Wauhatchie Methodist is named after the Cherokee Indian Chief Wauhatchie for his diplomatic efforts to bring unity between the Cherokee Nation and the settlers. The church was originally founded in 1848 on Browns Ferry Rd and then relocated to Wauhatchie Pike. While on Wauhatchie Pike the church served as a hospital during the Civil War. There have been four major building projects (one following a fire) and a relocation to the property the church currently serves on.

Through the generosity of our congregation and community, we are able to stock our pantry shelves with a variety of essential items.
